BILLSON –
When the second townsite of Atolia was being founded in 1915 it was reported in the Randsburg Miner that a man by the name of Billson was opening a bakery.

June 2, 1917: “FOR SALE OR LEASE –Bakery, Atolia, Cal., Brick oven, good trade, no bakery within five miles. For more information write P. Hijos, Atolia, Cal. Box 893.”—San Bernardino County Sun
MRS. M. NORMILE –
In July of 1918 a Mrs. Normile was advertising that she was in the baking business in Atolia. Her advertisement appeared in a pamphlet type newspaper put out by the Atolia Branch of the Mojave River Chapter American Red Cross. This pamphlet was sent to the “Boys” from Atolia who were serving in the Armed Services during World War I.
