MRS. R. VAN DYCY

March 15, 1916: “Atolia’s new ice cream parlor was thrown open Thursday night with a big dance.  Randsburg music furnished the accompaniment for a large number of dancers.—Bakersfield Californian

Mrs. Van Dycy (Dyke) was in business in July of 1918.   Her advertisement was one of those that appeared in a pamphlet type newspaper put out by the Atolia Branch of the Mojave River Chapter American Red Cross.  This pamphlet was sent to the “Boys” from Atolia who were serving in the Armed Services during World War I.

January 6, 1918: “MRS.  R. W. VAN DYCK AND MRS. GEORGE HANDSBROUGH of Atolia are visitors in San Bernardino.” –San Bernardino County Sun
