June 15, 1906: ROOF FALLS; FOUR INJURED–Automobile Makes Fast Run From Ballarat to Randsburg for Medical Assistance RANDSBURG, Cal., and June 14. — Early
this morning an automobile arrived from Ballarat with the information that four men who were taking down an old adobe building in Ballarat, a mining camp about seventy miles north of here, had been injured by, the roof falling in. The automobile came through in four hours. Dr.  Mac Donald started back at once and before noon met the stage forty miles out. He will not return before Saturday night and no word can get through before that time.” – Los Angeles Herald
