KIRK THEATER — The Bakersfield Californian reported in May of 1915 that the first public meeting to be held in Atolia was held at the Kirk Theater to decide to take the necessary steps to make Atolia an incorporated city. The theatre not only served as the local movie house but also as the social gathering spot for the town.
